Showing His Love through our hands

Big Rock Crafters is a group that strives to minister to the community and farther through creating handcrafted blanket, quilt and cover items for a variety of people groups.  These items range from large to small and are given freely as a demonstration of the Love of God during special situations.  From personal disasters to sickness, the Crafters consistenly seek opportunities to give their gifts.

Big Rock Baptist Cares is an ongoing project to create baby blankets specifically for the HUGS Program in Stewart County Tennessee.  These items are smaller in size to be given to crisis teenage mothers for use for their newborn children.  As part of this program the "Big Rock Baptist Cares" heart patch is a way to show these mothers unconditional love and care even in adverse situations.

Big Rock Baptist Prayers is a new project that was the idea of their director Deb Wallace.  These items are full size covers that are created to be part of the Pastoral Care Ministry of BRBC.  These created items are assembled with the entire group and they pray that God will use the gift of the item to open hearts and give comfort to the hurting.

Crafters also create other handmade items such as cards but any crafting project would be considered an opportunity to use the talents that God has given to them to show His love to others.

Big Rock Baptist Crafters also receives help from other churches within Stewart County that assist to meet project goals and allows them to use their talents to express the Love of God as partners and the BRBC Crafters express their sincere thanks to each one who contributes to this ministry.

November 14, 2009 a 3 month project was completed for the Brentwood Baptist Children's Home when 32 covers were hand delivered to each child resident.  It was such a blessing to be able to complete this project and see the joy on each face.  The following are some pictures of the items:
